An Unbeliever Believes

Every important official, wiseman, astrologer, and ruler in the king's serivce had their heads to the ground--that is, everyone except three Hebrews and a few peeking astrologers. At the first possible chance, the astrologers darted off to give a tell-all report to the king.

"Oh King, live forever," they begin. With calculated concern they inform Nebuchadnezzar how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego paid no attention to his order to worship the nine-foot golden statue. "They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up," they lament (Dan 3:9-12).

Stoked with fiery rage, Nebuchadnezzar demanded the three provential administrators to come before him. He catches his breath long enough to confirm the rumor, then offers a choice of worshiping his image or death by fire.

        New for Members

        While our Premier members await the arrival Oxygen Volume 11 (due mid July), we are beginning the planning process for Oxygen Volume 12. Because our goal is to create quality Scripture-inspired graphics that you, our members, find useful and relevant, we would like your input. Please send any ideas, suggestions for images you would like to see on Oxygen Volume 12 to members@oxygen-multimedia.com . Although we can’t incorporate every idea into Volume 12, we consider all suggestions and will keep them in mind when planning future volumes as well.

        If you are a Premier member and haven’t taken advantage of your free downloads lately, you’ll definitely want to check out the Premier Members section on our website. We’ve been adding at least two new graphics each week so you’re bound to find some fresh graphics to add to your collection. We will start pre-releasing images from Volume 11 in the next several weeks so be sure and check your ‘Members Page’ every Thursday.

        PowerPoint Lessons for Pastors

        According to the surveys I've read and those that I have conducted myself, over 80% of churches use Microsoft's PowerPoint's as their main presentation software. So it's fairly likely that you're one of 8-in-10 people that fit into this category. Even if you're only using PowerPoint for your announcement graphics or digital signage, this article is designed to provide you with some helpful tips and hints about using this popular software program.

        HOW DO I…

        Because most Pastors and Music Ministers don't spend the majority of their time building graphics, Oxygen has developed simple to use, high quality graphics to help provide that extra graphical support. More recently, Oxygen has started their new Worship Series that includes both full screen backgrounds of various colors and patterns and new add-in artwork that gives you serious flexibility to get the "look" you want.

        I'll show pictures of each version for the theme as we progress into the simple process of creating layered graphics with easy commands and mouse clicks. All of the work was done with PowerPoint 2003 on a PC, but the menus and layout are nearly identical to previous versions of the software for both PC and Apple computers.
