Church Spotlight, continued...
How long have you been using multimedia in your church service, and why did you start using visual imagery?
We have been using multimedia for sixteen years. We started using visual imagery to give our sermons more illustrative impact and to help people visualize missionaries on the field of service.
What presentation software/equipment do you use for your multimedia?
We use Microsoft PowerPoint, Oxygen, and a simple projection system.
What has been the response to using graphics with your sermons?
Our people really enjoy the presentations and look forward to them each week, which means the staff has to stay fresh.
What is one Oxygen image that is particularly memorable?
The modern cross, from Oxygen volume 7, is especially powerful to me.
Where are you headed with multimedia in your ministry?
We are looking at drama illustrations to emphasize teaching points.
*Interview has been edited for length and clarity.
