Here's a glimpse of what you'll find on Volume 8: topical graphics like Dependence and Peer Pressure, biblical scenes from Daniel and the story of David and Goliath, and even a few politically relevant images. We have also continued to design a few graphics inspired by worship songs such as Awesome God and As the Deer. Oxygen is proud to announce that we have been endorsed by MediaShout and Sunday Plus. With Volume 8 we introduce an expanded and improved version of our Sermon Design Center that is perfect for PowerPoint users as well as worship software fans. If you are a Premier member you should have already received your copy of volume 8 and new free graphics are now available in your member section. For those of you who are not currently enjoying the benefits of a Premier membership, we are offering a $10 discount off of Basic member price good through the end of this month. Right now Save $10 when you use the coupon code: HNPW-PADQW2. This special offer is good only through October 31st. Creating the illusion of motion in Powerpoint By: Vince Williams This month we are going to let you in on a little trick using some of the Oxygen library images. The Heart of Stone and Heart of Flesh graphics from Volume 8 are examples of specially designed images that give you the opportunity to create the illusion of motion in PowerPoint for a nice visual effect. (The following technique also works with Cross02 and Jesus On Cross from Volume 2 and the Easter Collection.) To create this effect: 1. Insert the two slides into PowerPoint onto the same background, using any of the five compositions. 2. Insert your text on each slide. You can keep the text the same on the two slides if you want to enhance the effect (as shown below). 3. Click the heading Slideshow>>>Slide Transition and choose the Wipe effect. Choose either left or right, then set the speed to the desired effect. I generally prefer slow for maximum effect. 4. Finally, watch the slide show unfold as it appears that the heart of stone has been transformed into flesh. I hope you will find this tutorial useful for an upcoming sermon. Watch for more congruent sets in future volumes of Oxygen. Watch a quick demonstration of this Lesson Lab in Action
